Art has the power to encourage, to make us laugh, and to unite us with strangers for a common experience. PECO is proud to continue creating and supporting programs that improve the quality of life for people in the communities where we live, work, and serve by supporting organizations and institutions that break barriers, make the arts accessible to all communities, and most of all, use the arts to remind us that, while the world continues to change, we are in this together.
La exhibición central patrocinada por PECO, Audacious Freedom: The History of African Americans in Philadelphia from 1776 to 1876, ha recibido elogios de la crítica. PECO también patrocina la gala anual del AAMP y brinda asistencia para las recepciones de inauguración, programas públicos y exposiciones que reciben miles de visitantes anualmente.
PECO is proud to offer Free First Sundays at The Barnes Foundation. Since June 2012, PECO's sponsorship has enabled the Barnes Museum to offer complimentary ticketing and public programming every first Sunday of the month with the goal of making the Barnes accessible and welcoming to underrepresented communities. By removing the barrier of cost and offering programming that is engaging and relevant, Free First Family Sundays enables the Barnes to prioritize diversity and inclusion. Last December, marked 100 years since the Barnes Foundation was established and it has also been ten years of PECO's support as corporate partner.

Walnut Street Theatre's Touring Outreach Program has brought performances and workshops that promote the guidelines set forth in the National Standards for Arts Education, directly contributing to Pennsylvania's current curriculum. Speaking and listening, health and safety, physical education, bullying, and civics and government are just some of the issues tackled when the touring companies go into a school. PECO continues to support as the theatre's lead corporate sponsor of subsidized performances for underserved schools throughout the five-county region of Philadelphia. The funds also supported the general operations of the Walnut's Touring Outreach program, including the six-month preparation period, the commissioning of new works, the play selections, and actor auditions.
Situated in Philadelphia's beautiful Fairmount Park, the Mann Center offers a diverse array of world-class entertainment – from classical music, jazz, pop, rock, gospel, and contemporary concerts to dance performances and international stage productions. PECO has been a season sponsor for over 20 years. PECO supported the Mann Center with the development of a new workforce development program for Overbrook High School students called The Music Industry Training Program (MITP). The program is designed to serve young adults, ages 15-23, by offering the structure to viable career paths within the music and entertainment industry.
