PECO and the National Energy Education Development Project (NEED) have partnered together for thirteen years to provide local schools with the PECO Energizing Education Program (PEEP). The PEEP program consists of STEM workshops, curricula, kits, and several activities for schools to participate in throughout the year. A more extensive effort was made to connect with various community partners to engage more teachers and students in the 2022 PEEP program than ever before. PEEP 2.0 Energy Workshops (Grades 4-12) offered six one-day trainings on energy, energy careers and relevant curriculum workshops over the course of the 2021-2022 academic year. Over 100 teachers participated, impacting over 25,000 students in 92 schools across our five-county service territory.
