# The Path to Clean At PECO, we're on a "Path to Clean" - playing a leading role in the Greater Philadelphia Region's transition to a clean energy future. PECO and the collective Exelon Utilities will reduce our operations-driven emissions by 50% by 2030. And by 2050, we are committed to achieving net-zero operations-driven emissions. So, how are we achieving such a drastic reduction in our own carbon footprint? - We are upgrading our company fleet with more fully-electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids. - We are replacing older natural gas mains and service lines to reduce leaks and enhance safety. - We are replacing our legacy electric equipment like large circuit breakers, with newer, more efficient models. - And, we're adhering to our energy efficiency commitments for many of our company buildings, and purchasing renewable energy credits for the energy used at these buildings. In addition to our own emission reduction goals, we are working in close partnership with our customers and local communities on a range of essential clean energy initiatives. By supporting our customers in their efforts to embrace clean energy and reduce their environmental footprint, and promoting a clean energy future in our communities, and on our planet, we can dramatically reduce our carbon footprint. There are many stops along the Path to Clean... ...and at PECO, we're committed to a cleaner and brighter future for the customers and communities we serve.
